Man’s natural
Self-awareness state is to return to his real Home in the Mystery of the
One and the Many from every trajectory of consciousness, to abide in
faithful recalling of every movement of consciousness back into the vast
awareness horizon (ring-pass-not) of Silent Individual We-awareness
within the One.
The Silent Individual is a living awareness space (hence, not a separate
self) who remains mindfully present in the undivided wholeness of the
One. He takes refuge in wholeness amid all the changes and distractions
of the everyday world of separate self non-entities and remains open to
the Mystery of the One and the Many. This resolute remaining-open to the
Mystery of the One and the Many is not an act of the will and does not
call for willfulness and, least of all, any “will-to-power”
self-empowerment, for will-to-power leads to dualized self-enclosure and
the fall into conflict within the separate self non-entity, and, thus,
conflict with the world.
This resolute remaining-open within the Mystery of the One and the Many
sustains itself without effort in mindful recalling of reality and the
refuge-taking from the unreal in the real. To recall the One does not
mean merely to remember it as a memory. No, to recall the One in Silent
Individuality, alone within the One, is always to discover the One
rising and opening in advance of every awareness of IT, “an Omnipresent,
Eternal, Boundless, and Immutable Principle”. Yet it eternally remains
“unthinkable and unspeakable”.[5] Hence, It is only present as a state
of awareness to the deep awakening within the Silent Individual.
Every movement of consciousness and every event great and small in the
world of the many, which includes the entire manifestation, invokes the
Silent Awakened Awareness that remembers the Self within the One. Thus,
the Silent Individual lives in freedom, freed into the ground and
essence of his own being grounded in Be-ness. And Be-ness is not a being
of any kind. The awareness-energy of this freedom illuminates the whole
of Life. Hence, it is called Enlightenment.
But man is also capable of “Self-forgetting”. The paradox inherent in
“Self-forgetting” is that while man never ceases to be the being that he
is, he is capable of forgetting the being that he is. Self-forgetting
exposes man to peril and the stormy (lower astral and elemental) sea of
troubles attendant upon falling into the separate self non-entity
wherein there is no awareness-energy of living harmony, only the
psycho-electric, psycho-magnetic polarities of a shattered and paranoid
self-image enclosed and isolated in a personal world.
The separate subjective self struggles for survival in a world where
there is no awareness-energy of living harmony, but only “objects” of
consciousness which are “there” at the disposal of self-enclosed
“subjects”, the psycho-electric, psycho-magnetic polarities of a
shattered and paranoid self-image (mirror), seduced by, and in violent
conflict with, other self-image non-entities. The everyday world is the
short but wide hall of broken mirrors where beings lost to themselves
seek their true identity in vain in a world of changing images, where
everything, including the separate self, may be bought and sold and go
in and out of fashion. There is a culture of frenetic competition and
exploitation rather than a culture where the Many know that they are One
and live in true justice and cooperation.
When, through non-attention, energy of awareness drops below the
resolute intensity of openness and here-ness, of We-awareness, a
self-enclosure occurs, and the drifting of the separate self non-entity
into the crosscurrents of sub-human sub-awareness and distraction takes
over. This is the gate to peril wherein separate self non-entity
“leaders” and “politicians” decide the fate of Global Humanity. This is
the world where all separate subjective self non-entities are pressed
into unrelenting service to the will-to-power and money projects in
which all separate subjective self non-entities are absorbed and
consumed while consuming.
This is the World War of the merchants of technological monoculture and
global economic domination under the absurd Orwellian names of “New
World Order” and “Free Market Democracy”, in which all separate selves
are mobilized as useable resource slaves, made to imagine themselves
free. There is the empty image, but not the reality of freedom. In this
world, there is no free Awareness-energy, only consciousness of becoming
a more or less valuable commodity. The self is a sub-human, cybernetic
entity, an information separate self, and in the “information age”,
every information separate self is a commodity in itself and views
itself as such and is conditioned to capitalize upon itself as a
developmental will-to-power and money project.
There is no authentic spiritual life, only “values” which are themselves
subject to the market pressure described as “public opinion”. There is
no culture, only “cultural products”. The language of technological
monoculture and “free market democracy” betrays its attitude towards
human beings. Every government, medium and large corporation, has a
department of “Human Resources”. Politicians like to make statements
such as, “Canada’s greatest resource is its people”. When human beings
become resources and commodities in a marketplace of “skill sets” to be
“downsized”, “out-sourced” and expropriated in techno-economic terms to
the exclusion of all humane considerations, the Gulag and Auschwitz are
not far behind.
