Every failure in resistance to the totalitarian
Technotheistic worldview, which tolerates no alternative, represents the loss of
a part of our natural native selfhood. Resistance is wakefulness, to the
actuality of what is unfolding in the new Global reality. And the refusal to be
distracted, by disinformation and Utopian dreams. The knowledge that global
capitalist consumerism is the ideology of an evil global empire. What are global corporate capitalist marketers if not new
global cartels getting the feeling for world domination? “Free market democracy” provides the illusion that there is
global competition going on between a vast array of independent distinct global
players. The way for a competing state to measure success is to be fully
employed and able to enjoy all of the benefits of the modern consumer society.
Mean while the global corporate mergers and acquisitions frenzy continues
unabated. And profit is always profit to be used elsewhere. High unemployment
amongst the winner populations, keeps them in line, until these unemployed
millions start to really react with grass roots political organization. Then a
period of less unemployment is initiated by global capital in order to keep the
carrot in sight, and stabilize public opinion. But the stick of massive government debt is always there to justify
every erosion of our democratic institutions and services.
What democracy might actually mean in this new, economic,
World State is a very interesting question. When voters are powerless to change
nothing except the face of the tax collector, democracy loses all meaning. And
this is indeed already the case within the existing free trade areas of the
northern hemisphere around the World.
What can the total economic and productive integration of the
entire globe, mean in the long term? Utopia according to its cynical corporate
sponsors, and their deluded supporters. Natives the World over will increasingly
share the same reality of competing economically and technologically until the
transnational capitalist consumer World State is absolute. At that point there
will be no alternative, cultural economic, or political realities able to oppose
the monolithic World State.
If this Global case scenario strikes you as being extreme,
consider the following.
Patents are being issued to global corporations for
every form of biological life, including man. In the future it is
planned that no one will be able to grow any form of food or raw material
without a license from the corporate patent holder of that life form. This list
includes such staples as wheat, corn, rice, potatoes, beans, cotton, etc.
Entire populations lapse into weary cynicism or grumble,
throw political parties in and out of office, have revolutions, try terrorism,
organized crime, underground economies, and still the whole World, without real
exception, moves inexorably in the same direction.
The Corporate World State is emerging behind the backs of the
vast majority of people who still delude themselves that if only economic wealth
can be increased beyond peoples capacity to consume it then everything will be
alright. In this way all citizen voters recognize themselves as mere consumers
and government and politics as an economic issue. The nation state has become a
corporation to be merged with other corporate nation states, which is what free
trade areas really are. This process of merger and take over will culminate in a
world economic government, which will drag politics, the military and culture
along with it.
Taken as a basis for World peace, these economic unions are
welcomed, by some. But what can this kind of peace possibly be like as an actual
way of life? A peace without love and freedom is no peace at all, but the
slavery of all that lives. The nightmare will be in the centuries it may take to
overcome global slavery. Consumerism and the media of distraction are the bait
in the trap swallowed in conformity and unasked questions. Yet at any moment the
peoples of the world can abandon consumerism and go free.
But alternatively a few centuries of global slavery may light
the fire of freedom in every ones heart. This is the long way round. Perhaps the
Oligarchies will realize the long term impossibility of their plan for Global
domination, become honest brokers and do the right thing for the Whole. No
evidence of this yet. Living in the Whole may have to occupy everyone outside
the Oligarchies at first and in order to bring them to the peace table of
freemen everywhere.
The rise in world population to unprecedented billions
demands new forms of governance and survival strategy. But the corporate state
with its techno-totalitarian mentality must not be allowed to control this new
Global arena of governance. Corporate nation states have accomplished their
dominance by investing their wealth in Technotheism, which has produced
crippling debt and which is used as an excuse to justify the atmosphere of
poverty- dread in the midst of which a flurry of World trade and economic
agreements are signed over the heads of fearful, oppressed unemployed millions.
We have entering the age of the Technotheistic, economic man as surely as we
have left the age of democracy. At an obviously much slower pace. we are also
entering the age of Spiritually-conscious ecological man, who in his ecological
essence is already post-technological and carries the true promise of the future
of humanity.
Worldwide “free market economy” means the absolute end of any
economic or political freedom. Democracy is disappearing from the world. Eventually no-one will mind because no-one will be
able to imagine anything else. Future generations will be techno-economic
slaves.
Strong Democratic Governments “ of the people for the people
by the people” have never been more essential than they are now and will be even
more so in the future. Global Democracy must develop in advance or at very least
at the same rate as the global economy.
Through dreams of wealth humanity is being led away from
everything and way of being that makes life worth living. Such as freedom
privacy into the redefinition of wealth, which will come to mean not
so much quantity and access to money and the material abundance it can offer,
but to the quantity and access of technology. This is our coming utopian
Information Age and economy, with everyone racing up and down the information
super-highway and everyone’s data image determining who they are on the highway
and whether they are allowed to be on it at all.
