Meanwhile the erosion of our human rights and freedoms in the
so called democracies continues unabated. The light of the radiant democratic
history of the West is being made to die into the economic tyranny of global
capitalist consumerism. Up to now we have had various forms of state and
imperial capitalism. Soviet Russia and China come to mind as forms of state
capitalism cloaked in the lie that they were Communist. The new world order of
Global Capitalism consumerism cloaks itself in the lie that it is Democratic,
and seeking democracy all over the third world. None of this is actually surprising as all political theories
since the beginning of expansionist nationalism and imperial world empires have
been various forms of capitalism. The latest name for this centuries long trend
is “free market democracy”, which seeks to become the master of the Earth by
creating a single culture of technology - “Technotheism” - throughout the whole
World. The fact that its exponents promise World peace and prosperity for all
qualifies it as the latest phase in a series of ideologically promised utopias
which have included the Soviet Union, the Third Reich, Mao Tse-tung’s China and
America. All these share in common an ideological theory of social engineering
with the stated goal of “improving” mankind.
Along with the materialistic agenda of private or state-run
capitalism goes the perception of every human as an adaptable resource. Most
recently in this line of development we see large numbers of the citizens of the
developed nations redefined as “techno-peasants”. Their value as adaptable resource units
within technological culture is that a percentage of them can be “retrained”.
Those substandard human units found incapable of being “updated” are permanently
relegated to a life of poverty as low-value citizens. Like old computers, which
are incapable of being “upgraded”, these people (of all ages) are simply
redundant models. In this way technological thinking is absorbing and subsuming
all other criteria by which we may perceive and respect each other. This is the
darkness which began a long time ago and its shadow is deepening all over the World.
Every technological state in the world is a totalitarian
state in the making where masses of human beings are corralled into the cages of
utopian ideological dreams. By definition, a state which permits only one set of
values and only one way of living within it is a totalitarian state and this is
the central feature of technology and consumerism as a world power. As the economy all over the World is increasingly founded
upon Technotheism and its products, people, too, become matters of resource, and
define themselves in psycho-economic terms as comparable values. Even the least
valued technopeasant can become a profitable resource by being incarcerated in a
private sector jail and providing jobs for many people and stimulating the local
economy. Capturing inmates’ for ever more and larger penitentiaries is a
capitalist industry. Hence there is mandatory sentencing in command of the
American courts. And there are lobbies to build mega jails, both there, and here
in Canada.
The consensus reality majority natives of the Earth fitfully
sleep, in consumerism and electronic distraction, as the world is restructured
into the adamant denial of their very existence as free beings. Beings who
require no evaluation beyond the fact that they are born free beings who are
natives of the Earth. It is a birth right not a deal.
Even the criminal in jail is a native being, if we withhold
native hood from anyone then we withhold it from ourselves. Particularly when so
many are locked up by the total negation of justice, by economics, and systemic
corruption. People want to do drugs, the demand is enormous. The illegal drug
cartels all over the globe represent a rogue free form of international
government, with the economic power to do what they will. We should seek a
greater understanding of why people come to rely on drugs in an unreliable
world. Stop demonizing the addict in a world where nearly everyone is addicted
to consumerism. And stop brushing addiction under the genetic rug. The addict is
simply an advanced consumer, one day there will be millions upon millions of
them/us , living openly all over the new global economy. Generations of illegal
police hounded addicts sinking ever deeper into nihilism. Hell on Earth for all
to see and fear. The obvious solution is to legalize drugs. At very minimum
legalization will allow the addicts particularly the young ones to live long
enough to recover and live on as free and valued citizens. There would be a
massive reduction in petty crime. And the arrest of one of the main conduits for
the spread of aids
As most forms of addiction are brought out by social
alienation experienced as an unbearable suffering, it is brutal to further punish
those who are already suffering so severely. And from a systemic illness in
which all share, at every unnecessary consumer credit purchase.
There is nothing new here, everyone who is capable of
ideology free thinking, about the drugs issue, arrives at the same conclusion.
Here is yet another example of vision and understanding combined with political
impotence and decadence.
There are transnational corporations and governments who act
as service laundries for the vast monies of the drug cartels. The exponential
growth of the stock and money markets during years of recession and
unemployment, the glut of overvalued stocks during massive downsizing and
layoffs, the dominance and flight of capital, all become clear. Does this also
help to explain the superstitious terror of inflation, at a time when there
ostensibly is none? Even while the state in partnership with invisible men opens
more money laundering casinos?
Is the growing medical and illegal drug addicted, and
alcoholic population all over the world also an ecological environmental issue?
It certainly looks like a global epidemic, eroding the species of awareness
organism, we call the human race. Clear and certain evidence of looming species
extinction. A media omnipresent population divorced from the rest of the culture
yet part of it. Even though hard drug addicts form their own subcultures, they
are always at the graveyard gates, in or out of the commercial jails. Yet for
many, drug addiction begins as a mute misguided self deluding notion, of resistance to capitalist consumer society. But of
course the addict is simply an advanced consumer. The ecological equivalent of a
rodent. The ultimate expression of the rat race.
